Sally Cahur, ’57, established the Nancy Samhric Scholarship in Music to honor her sister who had a passion for music, and to support Kent State students’ quest to expand their artistic talents.

Mac McFarland and his son, David, formed a bond over aviation and service. Years later, that bond is honored by a scholarship endowed to honor David and to make immediate and lasting impacts on the lives of Kent State students.

The լƵAPP Alumni Association has announced the seven recipients of the 2017 Alumni Awards.

լƵAPP College of Nursing seniors, Alyssa Lodi (back, right) and Anna Hunker (front, right), lead a group of middle school students through simple yoga stretches to promote relaxation and mindfulness during the health and wellness fair.

Alliance Middle School students are more likely to make healthy lifestyle choices after attending a health and wellness fair presented by a group of senior nursing students from լƵAPP College of Nursing. The adolescents rotated through four exhibits which focused on positive self-talk, mindfulness and stress management, the importance of sleep, and anti-bullying and building healthy relationships.
