The lecture series created in 2022 to honor the legacy of լƵAPP Professor Emeritus of Sociology Jerry M. Lewis, Ph.D., will feature Professor of Geography Chris Post, Ph.D., presenting “Developing and Interpreting the Wounded Student Markers at Kent State” as this year’s selected speaker. The Jerry M. Lewis May 4 Lecture Series and Luncheon will be held on May 3.
լƵAPP is one of the top undergraduate schools for game design studies according to ®. The education services company features Kent State, with animation game design programs through the College of Applied and Technical Studies at the Kent, Stark and Tuscarawas campuses, on its 15th annual ranking list, Top 50 Undergraduate Schools for Game Design for 2024.

Engineering technology students at լƵAPP at Tuscarawas now have access to new state-of-the-art portable electronic equipment.
The high-tech equipment was purchased through the Governor’s Office of Appalachia (GOA) and the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) Workforce Development Grant for $182,000 with funding from Ohio Mid-Eastern Governments Association (OMEGA), Tuscarawas County Commissioners, լƵAPP, Buckeye Career Center, OhioMeansJobs, Tuscarawas County Chamber of Commerce, and the Tuscarawas County Foundation.

The 2023 Animation School Rankings have been released, and the լƵAPP College of Applied and Technical Studies Animation Game Design (AGD) program is ranked 16th nationally and 20th in the Midwest. This is the 12th year for the annual rankings for animation programs. Nearly 200 schools with animation programs from across the country were considered.
